I make robots easier for people to operate, teach and understand. My recent work covers robots that ask better questions as they learn what people want, ways for remote supervisors to see why a robot failed, and interfaces for teleoperating robot arms. I’m a postdoctoral researcher at MIT advised by Andreea Bobu, and I did my PhD at the University of Washington. Otherwise, I’m a photographer and runner.
